Let's analyze the Iran conflict.
I supported bombing Iran to knock out the nuclear threat. Fine. But that was February. It is now November. Nine, ten months later — our fleet is still there, nobody has explained why, and the oil companies have been raping us at the pump ever since. Somebody needs to ask President Trump: what are we doing in Iran?
Let's analyze the Iran conflict for a minute.
First off — I supported it. He said he would take care of it. He sent in our aircraft carrier groups. We went in there and bombed the hell out of Iran for two weeks in February. Bombed the hell out of them.
I supported all of that.
But Then What?
Since then — for eight months, nine months, ten months, whatever it is — we have been told they're talking, we might do this, we're going to do this, the Strait of Hormuz is open, the Strait of Hormuz is not open, blah, blah, blah.
None of it makes sense.
And nobody has explained it. This blows me away. There has been no explanation of what we are doing there. After the first month — what is our fleet and all those people doing over there? We are not bombing them. What are we doing?
Meanwhile, the Oil Companies Are Robbing Us Blind
Our ongoing presence in the region gives the oil companies the perfect excuse to rape the hell out of us. Gas prices go through the roof. Record profits for them. Record pain for the American consumer.
And nobody connects the dots out loud.
A Critical Thinker Can Hold Two Things at Once
More than one thing can be true at the same time. It is not all a zero-sum game.
Bombing Iran to knock out a nuclear weapon — fine. I supported it. I still support it.
Then why are we still there? That makes no sense whatsoever.
It has been a complete debacle. And it cost us a bloodbath in the elections because of what it did to fuel prices.
Somebody Needs to Ask the Question
Somebody needs to ask President Trump: what are we doing in Iran?
Since the initial month — why is our fleet still there? What is the cause? What is the purpose?
He should have bombed the hell out of them and left. Said: we will be back if you try anything. Plain and simple.
That is the strategy that makes sense. That is the strategy the American people would have supported. That is the strategy that does not hand the oil companies a blank check to destroy the middle class at the pump.
Instead, we got ten months of soon. And the American voter made their feelings known last night.
