What Happened

Beginning in 2013, Eric Deters began representing patients of Dr. Abubakar Atiq Durrani, a Cincinnati-area spine surgeon accused of performing unnecessary surgeries on hundreds of patients. As the cases mounted, Deters sought federal intervention to hold Durrani accountable and secure relief for victims.

Over the following decade, Deters made direct contact with individuals connected to Donald Trump's political and personal circle — including Kimberly Guilfoyle and Drew Lynch — in an effort to bring the Durrani cases to the attention of the Trump administration.

Despite these efforts, no federal action was taken. Deters has now documented his account in a sworn memorandum, including texts, Signal messages, photographs, and exhibits, which he is making public in the interest of the victims and the historical record.
